Suffolk

£65.00

An original painting from the hike up harp hill collection.

Big skies, we have three main rivers, and we’re on the east coast , stones and shingle beaches, (Felixstowe and aldeburgh) Maggie hamlins shell sculptures, thatched cottage villages, lots of agriculture, Orwell bridge, lots of oil flaxseed, wheat and barley -so lots of yellow, blues and greens and natural tones

It’s often a little grey but not a bad grey. It’s a peaceful place to be, especially Woodbridge or pinmil or the snape marshes. It’s full of reeds and long tall grasses. I paddle board along the stour, the river that boarders Essex and Suffolk and I see king fishers and heron and so many swans. The fields go on and on and often the cows are in the river drinking as you paddle by. I always feel at my most calm and excited when I am there.
