£65.00

An original painting from the hike up harp hill collection.

Mossy green parks in spring, purple crocus, grey stone buildings in town, a stream in the park, feeding bread to the ducks, northern accent, steep streets and hills, farm animals. The land of rivers and hills, green spaces wherever you go, ancient trees watching over a much loved landscape.

There are huge South Asian, Somalian and Black Carribean populations. London Road is the most wonderful long street full with independent nationality food – sushi, Greek, Indian, Turkish… People all over the city are proud of their independent shops – coffee shops to butchers, outdoor gear to fish and chips. (By the way chips and gravy is important!)

Acrylic, soft pastel and pencil on paper, 5″ x 6″, 2021.
