Portsmouth

£65.00

An original painting from the hike up harp hill collection.

Words I would use to describe Portsmouth are things that appeal to me when I return: sea, Portsdown hill, naval forts and ports, HMS victory, Spinnaker tower, the smell of the sea, fish and chips, the hovercraft, D-Day, Porchester castle, pebbles on the beach. I love the area and still have family there.

When you look at photographs, it almost looks like the Dubai of the U.K, thanks to Spinnaker Tower (haha). The sky is vivid blue and the people are smiley. The buildings are eclectic – some modern, some old, some industrial, some quaint. There’s a lot going on here, but it still has a sense of calm and stillness.”
