Gloucestershire

£65.00

An original painting from the hike up harp hill collection.

Rolling hills and endless farmland and the smell of manure, from the hill where I live we see the Severn winding through fields and glinting in the sun, valleys filled with sprawling towns and the M5 as the backbone of the county connecting all.

Putting on your wellies to meander around the country side. A drizzly sky envelopes you, but you don’t hate it, you love it. Rain goes sideways, cows come to greet you and windscreen wipers are on full. Gloucestershire is home. Puddles, clouds and fog, but don’t forget the glorious crisp mornings in spring and the roasting heat on your back in the summer. Pub gardens, lavender fields, expansive horizons and sheep’s wool stuck in wire fences.”

Acrylic, soft pastel and pencil on paper, 5″ x 6″, 2021.
