Emma Howell

Glasgow

£65.00

An original painting from the hike up harp hill collection.

Very grey, but a lot of red sandstone.. There is lots of abandoned and derelict buildings both in the city centre and surrounded by graffiti, moss and overgrowth. It’s very beautiful though and I love it despite that. The textures are so beautiful and I find myself photographing things constantly. The people are loud, but very friendly. They make conversation with you and people from Glasgow have the best sense of humour. It is definitely a city that has a strong sense of community.

Rough around the edges, friendly, industrial, music scene. The outskirts of Glasgow include Loch Lomond and the Trossachs, which provides us with stunning views of mountains and glens, along with forests and moorlands. Although its mostly gloomy and wet, Glasgow has a lot of heart and we are reminded how lovely it is to live here when it is sunny 2 out of 365 days of the year.
