Falmouth

£65.00

An original painting from the hike up harp hill collection.

As I write this, I am aching for my life in Falmouth again, the best 4 years of my life spent at uni here. Very steep roads and the most difficult parallel parking haunted me, the pastel bunting through the town throughout the year.. the weather changing instantly from battering storms to clear crystal skies, pesky seagulls and pigeons..

The water often as clear as the Med fooled you into thinking it would be warm, cliff jumping from the rocks on the headland near the castle into the foamy spray, endless boats in the harbour and the occasional cruise ship and naval vessel.

Hot chocolates at the beach cafe following a fresh sea swim were the ultimate hangover cure. Beers on the beach whenever it was vaguely sunny. Rockpools filled with life. The coast path, oh the coast path to the next bays and beaches was just beautiful. My favourite place on earth.
