“Punting, boats and rivers. It’s really windy, old buildings in a kind of brownish colour, bicycles brightening up streets, trees and green.
It feels like you have taken a step back in time with the beautiful old college buildings and big green gardens around King’s College and Queens. Jesus Green is the site of so much activity – always picnics and games being played. The river plays a huge part in the feeling of the town with punts and kayaks always on it.
I sat in a tutor’s office and there was a boy tuning his harp on the wall outside while we talked about Faerie Queenes and the monsters of allegory.”
