The Motherhood Collection (2025) is an abstract visual response to the many ways we relate to motherhood. Shaped by my own experience and hundreds of anonymous submissions – stories, poems, confessions, and raw reflection -it draws on themes of longing, loss, identity, inspiration, and the complex ties between mothers, daughters, sons, and partners. Through intuitive mark-making, layered textures, and intentional colour choices, the work translates these emotions and narratives into something felt rather than told.
Each piece is a 5″ x 6″ original – small, intimate, and personal. Together, they form a collection of quiet mementos.. fragments of shared experience. To collect one is to join a quiet circle of people who should never feel alone in what they’ve lived, loved, or longed for.
