Sunlight, Heather And Loss

£68.00

An original painting from the four year wild fire collection.

Acrylic, pencil and soft pencil on paper, 6″ x 7.5″, 2020.

“Sunlight – there’s nothing like your warm embrace.”

“I climbed up a rock face to get to the top of the mountain, wearing jeans and hiking boots. This was great fun, before I realised I had to climb down the rock too. There was heather growing out of the stone and water trickling down the rock face. After getting to the top the air was crisp and it was a bright day, the views stretched into the next valley and beyond. All lush and green with rock poking through.”

“Infertility & fertility treatment. Heart breaking: fuelled by love. Desperation with tangible hope. Questions – why me? Expectation vs reality. Loss. Identity. Isolation yet excitement. Dreams. Mountainous. The edge.”
