Oklahoma

£60.00

An original painting from the 81 Wild collection.

The soil is unique, as it is red and hard like clay in most areas. We have all four seasons. Not much snow – some years it can be more then others. It typically melts the next day then freezes in the evening making it dangerous to drive. Tornado season is a season here. You can typically expect tornadoes as soon as April with hail reaching the size of softballs in some cases. For most of Oklahoma you can see the horizon and we have beautiful sunsets and sunrises with bright contrasts of purples, pinks, oranges and yellows. You can see and smell thunderstorms from hundreds of miles away.

Acrylic, soft pastel and pencil on paper, 5″ x 6″, 2020.
