An original painting from the 81 Wild collection.

Bleak, flat, farm, rural, rich land. Corn, wheat, cows, oil. ‘Bad’ moorlands with rock and scrub. People farm a lot, and we lead the US in many crop productions, like spring and durum wear and flaxseed and canola oil, and honey. Winters are totally brutal. There’s an average of 32 tornadoes per year. If you are in the mood for actually driving or hiking to some cool spots, the larger cities like Fargo, Bismarck and Grand Forks mostly always have something interesting to do.”

Acrylic, soft pastel and pencil on paper, 5″ x 6″, 2020.
